KB822603: Anybody used it?

KB822603 showed up in WU today for me. Not in the Critical Updates, but in the Recommended list that I pick and choose from.

Says it's an update for Availability of XP SP1 USB 1.1 and 2.0. Seems to have to do with hibernation, mainly. I don't use hibernation at all, ever, so I'm thinking I'll let this one pass, along with three older recommended ones: Settings Icon update, the Error Reporting update, and the Windows Messenger update.

Has anybody tried KB822603 and found it harmless?

 

I threw it in when it came out Wisewiz. No adverse affects on either of my machines.

Thanks, guys. That's more than enough expert-level testimony for me. I'll put 'er on, JIC I need it down the road.
(Right now, everything USB is working just fine on my machines, so I have no obvious, current need for it, but mebbe down the road.)

 

I think its a fix for "device <blah> will not let the system go into a low power mode" cuz on my step dads laptop he no-longer has that problem after installing the patch.
