I disagree, Final Fantasy Tactics would be the best strategy game of all time. Brood War is just SC with an add on. Not real original nor much different than SC.

Just kidding, i liked Brood War too.

Used to play it with my son alot. The only RTS ive actually liked. (cause i could actually play it lol)

I had to hunt down brood war, but, then noticed it was an expansion to SC1.

Btw, looking forward to my pre-order of SC2 (collectors edition).

Anything that reminds me that much of Bladerunner just has to be good.

Personally ill be waiting for the price to come down. I dont buy new usually, plus with all these other freakin games i have, i could not buy a game for 10 years, literally, and still not have played them all, all the way through

that said, if Diablo 3 or Sw:Tor came out tomorrow, id have to buy them

SC is prob up there among the top 5 RTS, but I don;t think it is the best, IMO of course.
I'm now on the last sequence of Assasin's Creed 2, and for those who haven't played it, it is a great game, the puzzles that go along with the Glyphs are tremendous.(Also very tough) The gameplay is great, game length is great, the story is great, the combat however, is far from difficult, much like the first one. I just started on Sacred 2, which I won't be playing much. (My little girl is hooked though)

My next adventure begins prob tomorrow with either Just cause 2, Resistance, or Killzone 2, haven't decided which yet so any feedback/rating/advice is much appreciated.

Just picked up a copy of Sniper: Ghost Warrior from City International.

I've been waiting for a new sniper game and was dissapointed to see IGN give this game a 5/10.
But I take their scores with a pinch of salt because I often dissagree with them, so I fired it up last night, looks very pretty, lush enviroments and detail is a bit scatty, your Ghuilli suit looks kind of bland yet your trousers are well detailed as are your hands and gun. It does have some frame drops here and there but nothing major.
Overall I think it's a good game, not great, it's leaning more towards arcade shooter than sniper simulator which is what I was hoping for, if you play it on a difficulty setting less than hardest you get a red dot on your scope telling you where your bullet will hit, some obvious paths are blocked by invisible game world barriers and you occasionally get stuck on a small rock. Also the focus/hold breath feature is more of a slo-mo bullet time thing instead of straight up steady aim. Your enemies seem to often have x-ray vision and can spot you from a distance even though you are wearing a ghuilli suit and yet you cannot see them.
These issues asside, so far it's been very enjoyable, a bullet cam kicks in when you score a clean headshot and you do have to take distance and wind into consideration when lining up your shot.

All in all so far I would score it closer to a 7.5/10, it's a good fun game if you like sniping but if you're looking for an Operation Flashpoint or Arma style simulator, this is not it. But if you like a COD style sniper game with added wind/distance effects etc then you will most likely enjoy this game.

Will update when I have put more time in, this is a "First Impressions" mini review, but so far so good IMHO.

Now you've got me looking at those and thinking they might be a good time Nedlamar- I don't usually go for the war simulation type stuff but the sniping deal sounds entertaining. If Operation Flashpoint and Arma are the standard, which would you recommend?
