In that case, enjoy...
At this rate, we're all going to have individual log-ins and accounts for each game developer out there, if we don't already. ![]()

It really irks me that a company would make someone who came about the game honestly jump through hoops to enjoy content they've paid for, knowing full and well it's still going to be cracked and pirated regardless by the same communities of users that crack and pirate everything just because they can. Still, it sure looks good in pictures and if the want-to-play side of me overcomes the boycott-the-drm-junkies side of me, I'll get it. Unless my son keeps on me about that PS3 for Christmas.

Yeah, I know... Which is why we need to buy every CD Project Red and Obsidian game we can get our hands on. They do reasonable and non-intrusive DRM, and unless their games actually sell well, no one else is going to bother.

That DRM is insane. Means I can't play the game at all, since I don't have a static internet connection. wonderful

AC 2 is much better, not as repetitive. More story, and water will not kill you!!!! It is really really good. The glyphs puzzles are really really tough, if you dont cheat, I bet noone would be able to get more than 8. Ps3 is a really good investment. I have all my old systems, still. But with the new PSP roms..... every game you could every want to play on any system, you can play ......
The zoo!!!! I can't wait til' my little man gets a lil' older. ![]() http://forums.majorgeeks.com/album.php?u=169958 not the beagle.. ![]()

Little guy looks happy! He'll be harassing you to go see elephants before you know it lol- and the beagle's cool too. I'm looking for an English bulldog puppy I can actually afford.
What's this about PSP roms and playing any game from any system? On the PS3? How does that work? That could do it for convincing me to buy one. |

As a general rules, any time the term "rom" is involved, I try not to talk abut it here.
![]() It is technically possible to modify a PSP to play any PS1 game, as well as enable it to run emulators for all the older gaming systems. However, the technique for doing it is exactly the same as the one used to pirate PSP games, so this is pretty much as far as we can go with that conversation here. Which is a shame, in a way... few things are more geeky than hacking a gaming console and turning it into something it wasn't when you bought it. ![]()

It seems like Sony could make a tidy sum of money on the side by making titles available for download from their archives for use on their consoles, including titles that weren't originally released for the playstation that no one else has any exclusive rights to but are owned by game makers they do business with. I'm sure they could even come up with some bit of coding that gave them a little more surety (to the extent that it exists) that pirating would be minimized. If they didn't price them outrageously, I'd be happy to pay a lump sum to get access to a handful of old games from this or that genre that weren't really available anymore.

A lot of PS2 and PS1 titles are available for sale and download on the PlayStation Network already. I'd suggest getting the older ones on PSP, since the older graphics don't look very good on a big TV.

I should have known if I'd thought of it, a few million people probably already beat me to it, conservatively.
Looks like there's a PS3 in my future... for my son, of course! ![]() |

Picked up the PC version of Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood.
Played it on PS3 a while back and liked it but never bought, only rented. Well since I don't have a PS3 at the moment I thought I'd get it for PC. I like this game, it's pretty standard base story but the voice acting is great, lot of character and little jokes here and there and some of the comments the 2 brothers make to each other just add to the fun. The gameplay is good, fairly generic FPS for the most part with some extras thrown in. You choose which of the 2 brothers you want to play as for each level. Thomas (which I play as most of the time) has a Lasso for reaching those hard to reach places and he has better long range accuracy, which bodes well with me since I'm a snipey gamer. His special ability is rapid fire with auto targetting. Ray is more of the "Bust into a room and smash your face in with a chair" type of guy, slower and less agile than his brother , his special skill is dual weilding pistols in a similar manner to Thomas. The special skills mentioned are earned by killing 6 enemies which charges the "6 Shooter" metre, once charged you have 1 minute to use it or it resets. The main difference between the 2 is with Ray you simply move the mouse around targets that are frozen in time to mark them, then just let rip with 2 pistols, Thomas's is more fun, you hold down the fire button and pull the mouse back/down to fire each shot, simulation rapid left hand hammer use of the pistol. The missions are nice and varied and every so often you get a bit of a break and a chance to earn some money and buy new guns by way of a small sandbox mode with a gun store that has posters on the walls with jobs, such as Assassinasion or retreiving stolen goods etc. The boss fights are cool too, not really boss fights as we know them, you will frequently come up against someone in a "Quick Draw" standoff, where you will both pace slowly facing each other until the church bell rings, at which point you both "Go for ya guns" The neat thing about this is not only do you have to move around keeping your target in centre"ish" veiw, but at the same time you have to control your hand with the mouse, keeping it hovered just nicely over your holstered gun. When the bell rings you swing your mouse inward and draw.... then a reticle will move upwards across your targets legs and to his body, it turns red once it hits his torso and from that point you can fire... trying to wait for the headshot normally gets you killed lol Should you touch your gun too early, you lose, should you fire before reticle is red, you lose. Perfect control and timing are require to get the kill. One of the best and most unique things about this game is the cover system, one of the best I've ever seen, you move to a rock or box or whatever and your guy automatically goes into cover, you then contolr popping up and fireing with the mouse in a very fluid and "Live Action" manner, as opposed to the standard "Hold and button to cover and push another button to pop out" style. All in all this game is very enjoyable and anyone who likes a good FPS thats a change from the normal "Warfare" deals around will enjoy this Western set good old cowboy fight. So pick up a copy and sit back and enjoy the feeling that only comes from a game where you can happily say.... "Go for ya guns, ya scum suckin' mollusc" ![]()

I have Call of Jaurez, Bound in blood and the original Call of Juarez. I've played both for countless hours. I really enjoyed the second one. The gameplay on the first one is really good as well. But, The thing about the first one, you are running around half the time as the older version of Ray, and the other half the time as A kid named Billy, which is some how the other(not Thomas) brothers son. Evidently, and The first one, Ray gives up that life, and denounces guns and becomes a priest!
Then This kid Billy, (Ray thinks)kills Rays brother and his wife, so in classic Clint Eastwood (Unforgiven)Ray lays down his collar, and takes up he guns in pursuit of his brothers killer Billy. Either way, The second one is a lil better than the first, but you should def. play the first if your gonna' play the second.
