screenshot or snapshot

how can i do ia screenshot or snapshot .

i think that i am going about it the wrong way : first i hold ctrl then c . then open word doc ctrl v and nothing happens .

if i highlight with the mouse [text] and right click this works but i cannt do a screen shot

 

to take a screenshot , simply press the Print Screen key (Prt Scr) at any time, and then paste into an image program (mspaint works fine)

 

i did a clean install of my win xp and my ms paint is not here any ideas where i can find it

 

try going to start>run> then type mspaint

 

It should be located in the Accessories folder. Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint

 

thanks for the help i found it tucked away did a seach in all files and folders and it it came to life

You can also <ctrl v> into Wordpad and Photoshop.
