whats a dsl uncapper and are there any risks involved.

i think there's a cap on my dialup. It will download really quick then slow down really fast. also, windows media player seems to have a way of getting past it, because it can play songs faster than my supposed speed. (over internet radio)

 

No, there is no cap on dial-up, that's impossible, it's impossible to get more then 56k on a phone line... So Windows Media player probably just downloads more effecinetly, and for fast then slow, that happens, the server is really fast at first, but it slows down because you are taking up it's pipe.

 

i get around 28.8 on mine but they're 56k on both ends, and windows media is the LEAST effeciant program i've ever seen. it would take it about a min to load the majorgeeks.com homepage.
