in my Bios under "BOOT SEQUENCE" i have mine set up like this

    Hard Drive
    CD ROM
    FLOPPY DRIVE

Now, the only one I have checked is Hard Drive. I unchecked CD ROM and FLOPPY DRIVE because I don't use them when I boot up. Is it OK to have a setup like this?

. . . while the safest sequence is: floppy drive, hard drive, CD-rom.

why bother having the floppy or CD rom activated in t he boot sequence? I never use them to boot up, and if I do, I will go into BIOS and manually set it to boot from the floppy or CD ROM... no need to have them boot every time I think... Only the Hard Drive for me.. seems to make the boot process more effecient.

He's right, not only will it boot up faster, it will also stop you from having to eject floppies on boot-up.
