Unable to Uninstall VLC

VLC downloaded itself to my laptop without me knowing. When I go to add remove to uninstall it does not show on this list. I didnt download it from thier site so there is also no uninstall option under programs. I deleted the folder from program files but its still on my computer. Also when I try to open my task manager i get an error message stating this is not a valid windows image and i need to check my installation disk. I am not sure if a virus is causing this problem or if this is a software issue. I dont want VLC as a media player. Can someone help me to remove it.

If you didn't install with the installer, then remove the folder.

Also remove %appdata%\vlc

or try Revo Uninstaller:

I was trying to install this http://dnld.zangomultimedia.com/medi...ayer_Setup.exe, which was recommended for a site I was on to download video. However it was not what I thought it was and VLC downloaded itselt. However I am not sure why my task manager will not laod when I use ctrl alt delet. Will removing VLC correct this error or is this problem caused by another issue?

Revo is something I haven't tried. But you might want to try this.

Zango is spyware. You might have a problem removing this.
Use Revo to remove Zango first. If that doesn't work, you might have to scan with malwarebytes and your antivirus program.
Do you have CCleaner installed? That will get rid of any defunct registry entries.

And frankly I do not care what anyone else says after this, but if you got spyware, and Malwarebytes doesn't do the trick, COMBOFIX works wonders.
