Fish Tank Look

I am modding a tower case for a friend, and i am trying to give the look of a fish tank on the side. I am having problems with it leaking however. My first idea was to take an aquarium pump, as well as the tubing and run it throught two piece of plexiglass. This worked find but i was using waterproof caulking along the edges and hen it gets hot it leaks. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i could fix this? if i have not given enough information please let me know.

 

Maybe use a silicone based sealant? They make them in a plethora of styles. You can pick them up at any hardware or auto parts store.

 

Use real plexiglass cement (TAP Plastics has it). There is a very runny and a thickened style. Use the thickened. Your cuts have to be near perfect, a table saw with a plastic blade will work. Your plastic should be at least /14 inch.
Consider Lexan as it is more durable.
If you can swing it, use glass and clear RTV with brass corners for extra strength. I have seen one case with 1/8 inch glass. Plastic does not compare in looks, but all that glass must have been terrible to do.

 

Or you could buy the one Li Iian make and make it fit.
