Default XPATLCOM.DLL on Windows 7

Hello

I've just had Norton Internet security issues a message saying that file XPATLCOM.DLL was analysed. but I have no idea where this file came from or what it might do and mention of it is limited on Google.

According to NIS, the file is mature but I'm curious.

It appears to be to do with roaming profiles in Firefox and it was whilst using Firefox 4 that the message appeared.

Thanks

Martin O'Shea.

Would you rather work here in our forum or over at BleepingComputer? Choice is yours but if you decide to work here then you must leave a note to BC and vice versa.

Apologies. I was unaware that the two sites were affiliated.

We are seperate forums and volunteers on forums are a valuable resource not to be wasted by double posting at different sites. Just give me the nod on who you wish to work with!

Yes it's more than likely a legit file, let's just have you get it analysed to be sure:

Please go to virustotal and upload the following files for analysis, and let me know the results.

(file path to file...)XPATLCOM.DLL
