Internet volume not working & volume mixer

My internet volume is not working for any videos but the volume works when I'm using windows media player, also the volume mixer for the internet is not showing up. What can I do to fix these problems?

I have this problem.

As I see it right after I used windows media player, Chrome worked once then Chrome disappeared from the volume mixer so no sound. Then I used ie9 one time it worked and the next time it was also gone from volume mixer.

I think if I could get them back in volume mixer my no sound problem would go away. So can you help me get them back into volume mixer. Sound works for everything else on my computer.

In addition to Windows Vista, please state the brand and model of computer so people will know if it is a desktop or laptop. Also what is your audio card so we can find that card's audio control panel.
