   Had a virus 2012 whatever, ran malaware in safe mode, found several registeration key entries, let it delte them. Now after reboot, I cannot run any .exe files, screen keeps poping up wanting to know what program to use to run it.
   
   Any help would be appreciated

   Try this.
   
   Download the below file to your Desktop. Once saved on your Desktop, Right click on it and select Install
   
   EXEfix
   
   Then see if you can run EXE files.
   
   
   You should then continue on with the below because you may have other problems.
