Question Gmail through Safari on my iMac can't be viewed

My genius two year old was able to bang her hands on my iMac keyboard while my wife was viewing Google Gmail with her Safari browser. Now when using Safari if we open my Gmail account I cannot view any of the previously viewable conversations... it is simply a blank white screen. The contacts list on the left hand side of the screen is still viewable as with a few other icons at the bottom of the screen but, the emails themselves do not appear at all. When I used Google Chrome - I was able to view my entire email list; all conversations as it was prior to my two year olds Monkey Testing of the keyboard.

We are using a rather new iMac (about 10 months old) and other than this little hitch it is a fantastic machine that I could easily feel good about recommending to anyone that can cover the high price tag.

But this issue of not being able to view gmail through Safari has me totally stumped... I'm pretty new to macs this being my first one since the original Mac back in the mid 80's.

Any help is very much appreciated.... I'm confident its a pretty simple fix such as the right keyboard shortcut combo - I just can't find it. and if you have any recommendations on good sites to learn... I'll jump on that and hopefully not bother you folks too much.

Thank you again.

Johnny V.

Try this, click safari on the toolbar then Empty Cache, if that dose not work try Reset Safari this just worked for a friend.

Thumbs down Re: Gmail through Safari on my iMac can't be viewed

I've tried the resetting of Safari and the emptying of the cache... didn't work. Also - I am going through the keyboard shortcuts and multikey functions however, these don't seem to apply at least there has been no change to the "new" gmail view that is being imposed by Google. I'm kinda stuck, well, I can use Chrome but, Safari just is not working with gmail and I am at a loss.
