Trying to learn HTML and CSS

I want to learn css so I can help out my anime club more as well as expand my knowledge base but I am kind of in the dark for the most part I know very basics but thats my limit. I have already checked out w3schools(first stop = D)

But I am looking for some other good resources to help, any suggestions are well appreciated.

PS: Also looking for good gimp tutorials to use in conjunction for web page design any help would be much appreciated.
