Default Battle.net got hacked

In the unlikely event that anyone here who has an account was unaware of it, Blizzard has confirmed a security breach on their North American Battle.net servers.

Based on what we currently know, this information alone is NOT enough for anyone to gain access to Battle.net accounts.

We also know that cryptographically scrambled versions of Battle.net passwords (not actual passwords) for players on North American servers were taken.

Security Update FAQ

Change your passwords as soon as possible! Verify your email address on file, and practice basic account safety and safe surfing.

And don't panic. Yes, this is bad. But this is the equivalent of some bozo snatching your wallet. Hugely inconvenient, but it's not a disaster. All you have to do is take the necessary steps to protect yourself, do some damage control, and soon life will be back to normal again.

Thanks. Changing password. Though, I have the key ring generator. But, always safe to change the password.
