Default QYTREW malware?

For the past week or two my windows live mail randomly opens up and starts typing emails/creating events with "QYTREW" as the subject and even started to delete emails, I dont use windows live mail anymore but I do want to keep it for the emails it has saved.
This happens randomly sometimes 3-4 times in 15mins then not at all for a few days.
I've run malwarebytes often and it hasnt found anything since this started so I came here to see if anyone else has had the same issue, There was one thread that was resolved by the poster and google gives no solid leads.

Logs are below run today and the issue happend 3 times during the scans, I've unplugged my keyboard and even replaced it for a day or two but it still continues to happen.

Vuze Remote Toolbar <--- Uninstall this unless you use it of course.

Rescan with Hitman and have it delete Potential Unwanted Programs

Fix items using RogueKiller.

Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
When it opens, press the Scan button
Now click the Registry tab and locate these 2 detections:
  • [TASK][SUSP PATH] IHSelfDeleteTASK : CMD /C DEL C:\Users\Quog\AppData\Local\Temp\IHUAA64.tmp.exe -> FOUND
  • [TASK][SUSP PATH] IHUninstallTrackingTASK : CMD /C DEL C:\Users\Quog\AppData\Local\Temp\IHU6C1A.tmp.exe -> FOUND

Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
Now press the Delete button.
When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
Reboot the machine.

C:\Windows\8A809006C25A4A3A9DAB94659BCDB107.TMP <--- delete this.

Rescan with RogueKiller (just do a scan now) and attach that log too.

Tell me if the problem has gone away or not.

Download OTL to your desktop.
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • Vista and Windows 7 users Right-click OTL and choose Run as Administrator)
  • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.

When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.

Attach both of these logs into your next reply.

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

Also...

Run this and attach the results.

Using ESET's Online Scanner

Default Re: QYTREW malware?

Not seeing any malware at all. (Except little that has been removed) I suggest that you post in the software forum about this.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
  1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
  2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
    • Press and hold the Windows key and then press the letter R on your keyboard. This opens the Run dialog box.
    • Copy and paste the below into the Run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
    • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
      • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
      • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
  3. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
  4. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
  5. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
  6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
  7. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others) and running MGclean.bat did not remove, you can delete these files now.
  8. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
  9. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
    • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
    • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
  10. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
