Another HijackThis Question

I just downloaded & installed HijackThis from MG and ran it I received the following notice:

"You have a particularly large amount of hyjacked domains. It's probably better to delete the file itself than to fix each item (and create a backup).

If you see the same IP address in all the reported 01 items, consider deleting your Hosts file, which is located at C:\Windows\hosts.
(OK)"

Which file should I delete rather than create a backup?

The IP address in all the reported 01 items is different in each one listed so what do I do with the hosts file(s)? I checked in my Windows Folder and didn't find any folder that said Hosts, but I did find 5 windows icons that are: hosts, hosts.20030910637.backup, hosts.20031024-164251.backup, hosts.200402-210808.backup, and Hosts.sam

I'm so confused, can anyone advise what the heck I'm supposed to do? I did a search on MG & came up with a link to spywareinfo.com, but that page wouldn't come up for some reason. Thanks

 

HOSTS (without the extension) is the currently used file. Back it up and empty it's contents.

 

I must be dense Kodo, I can't find a folder by that name in Windows.
