Okay I have this address on my IE address bar that keeps comming back, its a search in Alltheweb.com. I have destroyed my history, my IE cahce, all cookies on all users, I have run Spybot search and destroy, AdAware, HDCleaner, Ihave personnally went into the Regestry and killed anything to do with alltheweb, and I search my computer for all files with alltheweb and have deleted them... It still comes back everytime! Short of using a different browser or drop kicking my PC does anyone else have any sugestions... Thanks

I do not see in your thread where you ran an AV check. If you did not, then do so, but deactivate System restore first. It could very well be that this is hiding there and activates every time you boot up. After you run the AV, re-activate System restore if you use it. :)

P.S. Did you try your solutions in safe mode also?

<edit> Did you check to see if this set as your home page? Allthe web is a huge search engine. could someone have reset this as your home page? Perhaps it is a spoofed hijack. Everything that I could find on Google seemed to have a positive spin to it. personally, I have never heard of it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see how UpdateLoader and alltheweb are related.

alltheweb.com is a legitimate search site, and there's no indication of Update Loader from Welic's post.

We really need to see his HijackThis logfile to ID the hijacker, if there is one...

I definitely agree with xflat about running those anti-spyware utils.

Agree with alanc that it is a legitimate bona-fide search site, which incidently no anti-spyware tool should eliminate.

Agree with xflat and add this as support: http://majorgeeks.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25834
    Also to support alanc: http://majorgeeks.com/vb/showthread.php?t=26149

It could be a homepage as Bocceman suggests but it could also be a toolbar button, e.g., on the "links" toolbar. This can be customised by using the Organise Favorites options from the Favorites menu.
