Aside from the general Ad Aware + Spybot combo. I use CWShredder for the coolweb stuff, but is there something better? "HiJack This!" ? I find it doesn't remove everything I tell it to.

    Is there anything else?

You can get SpywareGuard from the front page. It alerts you when something wants to change the home page. Also get its sister Spyware Blaster to stop spyware from even loading.

I can take a single computer and run Ad Aware 6 with the latest ref files and scan a computer repeatedly until it shows zero spyware. Then take the same computer just seconds from cleaning it with Ad Aware and update and run Spybot Search and Destroy and find even more spyware. Then take the same computer and scan it with HiJack This! and find yet more spyware. Again after all that, I can update and run Bazooka Adware and find more spyware within minutes of cleaning it with Ad Aware. This is after rebooting after each cleaning. I can run Ad Aware or spybot on any computer twice and find more spyware each time. I have to not only run all those apps but I have to run each one 3 times just to get them to return with no spyware found!

And this isn't on any of my personal computers but hundreds that I clean each week at work.

No single Spyware tool will remove 100% or even 90% of the spyware on any given system that has an active internet account.

My problem is that I have to clean ignorant customers computers. My systems stay pretty clean of these issues. I know keeping critical updates downloaded and updating and running my tools is the best thing. Plus I try to stay away from shady websites. But... customers don't do this, nor do they update. So, my delimma is as I just stated. :)

J-Bo, part of your problem is due to the reboots in between cleanings. You must have some stubborn trojans or spyware that ar recreating themselves at boot time. There are lots of these types that require some manual intervention (like deleting certain files or directories by hand). You need to locate these and clean them up. I suggest you post you HiJaak This log. In addition, try repeating your tests without rebooting in between. You may still find that one program finds things that the others do not (this is typical). But note what you have cleaned and what your HiJaak log shows and then reboot and see what comes back. This could be important info.

Oh there is almost always items that I must manually remove via regedit or by removing program directories. I run each tool twice or more. Rebooting between the first and second and not rebooting after that. I am quite familiar with my hijack this! findings now.

I repair 30 or 40 computers a week with spyware issues. I just wanted to know if there is a tool that's above and beyond Ad Aware / Spybot S&D combo. I can clean a system from spyware, it's just the amount of time required to fully clean these systems that i want to reduce. Some customers come with 700+ records found by Ad Aware, to be cleaned, on one single computer!

Installing and updateing multiple apps takes too long. Plus I have to install patches and updates for Windows too. Now recently the LSASS issue is flooding my benches.

Just want to lighten the load a bit.

I understand. I would suggest getting all of these system running with some kind of blocking tool. I use SpySweeper on lots of PCs. It helps alot, but is also not perfect. And just like others, does need periodic updates to stay current. There's no way around it. But if all PC's are running licensed copies update notifications and installs will be automatic. This helps to force (well it least tells you to update) people to remain current. In addition, a virusscan program that is kept up to date is also a must as you obviously must know.

See these tools too for Sasser issues:
