ad-aware updates???

  1. Hi guys!

I was wondering if anybody was having problems downloading ad-aware ref. files? For some reason when I use web update, it indicates update complete but the ref. file code stays the same and there is no upload(progress bar does not appear. I checked on lavasoft's site, but nothing seems wrong. I also tried on another PC(another location) and its the same result. Both PC’s have 6.181. I also checked initialisation status, and it gives me "error retrieving update". What gives?

Download the file manually from us in the spyware section.

Moving thread to the spyware forum.

  3. Thanks for the quick reply Major,
But I'm curious as to why ad-aware is acting up. Firewalls are not restricting access to the updates.

I get the same behavior, it must be a problem at their end.

A new update is available just now. Give it a try.

I was about to ask the same question. I'll download it from here too but it seemed strange when it's always been so easy to download on a regular basis. It's good to know I'm not the only one. Thanks for posting.

  7. Everything O.K. Just tried it, and getting rid of the nasties at this very moment.
