I have windows XP. I suddenly have a new toolbar called "sun java console". I've run adaware, spybot s&d, and crapcleaner and none removed the toolbar. Any ideas? Thanks

The sun java console is not spyware. It is a legit environment that is installed on your machine due the need to load java envrionment specific software. Have you had the need to run programs recently that required Java to be installed?

Sorry, I didn't know it was legit. I don't remember seeing anything that needed java lately. Should I just leave it alone?

it's not going to do anything but use resources. You can configure it to not start up on boot but it will load when needed.

go to your control panel. You should see an icon there that says "Java plug-in". Double click it and when it loads, click on the BASIC tab. Your options to hide are there.
