Deborah was employed as the executive secretary of the Woman's Study Program at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, for the past 20 some years. She was fondly referred to as "the voice of Women's Studies."

Her family and many friends will remember Deborah as being a good wife and mother, active in community affairs. In the Scouting organizations, she served in many leadership positions, including Brownie, Cub, Boy and Girl Scout Troop leader and as director of several district and council Day Camps and training courses. Deborah attended Philmount Scout Reservation and among many other awards, earned Wood Badge Status. On the SIU campus, she was an active leader in the Civil Service Connections Group. She taught self defense courses to the women of SIU. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of LeRoy.

Deborah was the first born of Patricia Louise McCrory Corzine (deceased) and John Summerfield Corzine.

She married Theodore A. (Ted) Morrow on June 4, 1977, at Lake of the Woods, Mahomet.

She is survived by her husband, Ted, and children, James Allen Morrow and Sally Jo Morrow, all of Pomona; her parents, John and Betty Corzine of Sun City Center, Fla.; brothers, Ralph Allen (Judy) Corzine, and Scot, of Topeka, Kan.; John Michael (Jean) Corzine, and Nikki and Michael, of LeRoy; Charles Patrick Corzine of Jacksonville Fla.; her stepsister, Lilinda Garton Brittin of Bloomington; her aunts, Barbara June McCrory Jasper of Decatur, and Jane Denise Corzine Nelson of Kalamazoo, Mich.; cousins, Robert Jasper and Tonya, and daughter of Illinois; Brion and Julia, and children of Decatur; Christopher and Mily Nelson, and children of Genevea Switzerland; David and Christine Nelson, and children of Ann Arbor Mich.; and Susan Nelson and Eric Wood of Burbank, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia June Morrow (died May 10, 1986); her mother, Patricia Louise McCrory Corzine (died June 14, 1968); her paternal grandparents, Allen Dewitt Corzine (died Aug. 16, 1956) and Marion Clark Summerfield Corzine (died July 7, 1996); her maternal grandparents, Ralph Norman McCrory (died March 16, 1959) and June Mildred Foster McCrory (died April 26, 1994), and William Jasper.

At her request, she was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a date and place to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Deborah J C Morrow Special Fund at any Union Planters Bank.

Jack

P.S. - Debbie's Memorial Service will be this coming Friday evening, July 30th at 6 p.m. (CST) at Bald Knob Cross in Southern Illinois. Bald Knob Cross is situated a few miles south of Pomona, IL where Debbie had her accident.

I think this will prove to be a tough week for me Kodo, please keep me and mine in your thoughts. Going to visit with my Aunt today and it will not be easy as she was close to Debbie as well.

Jack, you and your family will be in our minds and in our prayers.

Death is the physical end for the person, but only the beginning for everyone else. Be with those you love, man.

Jack, I heard about your sister yesterday. I don't have the words to tell you how sorry I am for her, you, and your family. I know it doesn't help, but I do know that the pain does ease with time. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Wow, sounds like she was an amazing woman. I'm sure she'll be missed for a long time in her area, looks like she was involved, and contributing to everybody.
She must have given people a hell of a lot of good memories.
I'm very sorry for you and your family Wraith, will be thinking of your sister and you on Friday.

They say that we should live our lives in such a way that everybody says it's a shame that we're gone. Sounds like Deborah did just that. Quite a life, and quite a memory.

This week, and those that follow, will no doubt have difficult moments and pain. Cherish and share the good memories. The pain lessens in time, the memories remain.

God bless you all,
Gary

Wraith, I am so sorry to hear about your sisters death. After reading her life's contributions, her passing will leave a large void in many lives. For all the lives she has touched, she has left a part of her. Although you will feel her loss, take comfort in what she has left.
