File Sharing Program questions

What file sharing programs are fairly easy to use, fast and good? I have SoulSeek and its fast and easy but is only good when it comes to music. I downloaded eMule and it was HORRIBLE, let me tell you. I want it to be spyware-free to. Any recommendations?

BearShare. There is a free version that installs Weathercast but as long as you have Spyware programs installed nothing bad happens.

BitTorrent is supposed to be pretty cool. Haven't tried it yet, though.

Easy to use, easy to setup. But you need to have a decent upload speed because it requries you to be uploading as you download the file.

I'm with you on the BitTorrent! Excellent stuff. if you can find a copy of KazaaLite K++ that version has no spyware plus it has a built in accelerator. I know of a website that has a copy. PM me if you want it, I don't want to post the link because the site contain xxx banners and I don't know what age groups are looking on this site.

Kazaa has no audience like it used to, it is very hard to download from them and get what you want.

I recommend either BearShare or BitTorrent.

Its called Kazaa Lite Resurrection (the good ver I think)

You can check out WinMX for songs

Bty, if u use BT, I use this open source program called BitComet, which supports resume and is very easy to use...

I use the K++ myself and it works great. No spyware, adware, or malware. and it has an IP blocker so those pesky scans to check for pirated software dont work.

shareaza i have not check this out though

I figured I'd give it a shot. Just so you know though when I started the download the first site in the mirror made my virus scan go nuts. so i picked the third one down and it downloaded ok. I hope it's a good version. I will try it.

BearShare is not, Kazaa is, or was anyway, I have not tried Resurrection.

Try several and pick what you like. Be Warned, any of these could help infect your box and of course sharing copyrighted material is still illegal----but of course you knew that anyway!
