On average, how long does a AdAware scan take?
I am running
Dell Inspiron 2500 celeron processor 128 RAM 20 GB XP Home 2002 I have been following all the tutorials on how to scan, etc., but I don't know if these scans take all day and I am just impatient(after running AdAware for 12 hours, it was still not complete so I just hit cancel and started over, twice), or if I'm doing something incorrectly and they are getting hung up some how. So, can you tell me an average time it takes to scan, then I will know if I should start over and re-read your brillant tutorials! Thanks

12 hours is insane in any case. Worst case I would guess 10-15 minutes. Try doing it from safe mode, you probably are low on memory.
