memory restrictions

is there anyway to get a asus p4s533-x motherboard to accept ddr400(pc3200) ram?

It should in the DDR slots, but it will only run at PC2700. If you can buy PC3200 cheaper than 2700, or think you will be getting a board that supports 3200 soon, you might as well get it.

i can't get it to slow down

i tried having it plugged into the second slot and went into bios and forced it to 333mhz, but it still won't work. izzit cuz i can't mix it wtih my existing pc2700 ram?

btw, yes, i got if for cheaper than pc2700 - so my plan is if it doesn't work, it becomes my bro's b-day prezzie :P
