Question about laptops here

I'm not one to post alot in the forums but I do read the forums on a daily basis. Why do I see quite often people with not only brand spanking new message board accounts sellng laptops, but also fairly new high end laptops for far below their actual value?

I may be way off base with this one, but "stolen" seems to pop into my head.

Can somebody help me understand this phenomenon?
