Audio controller driver?

Just did a reinstall of xp on a Dell Dim. 8300, ran resource cd, all drivers, etc. Has a Nvidia Geforce card, Creative labs sound card, everything runs fine. BUT, in my device manager i have a problem. A"multimedia audio controller" cannot find a driver. Have ran the disks over and over. Auto update wont fix either. Posted a topic on microsoft too(saw same problem there but got no answers). Is this controller my video or audio card or is it something else. Dont like seeing the big yellow ? mark. Any help?
