Are you just looking for an answer? The answer is yes, of course you can.
Although if you mean can you hookup your xbox to your laptop in order to use the laptops wireless NIC to get onto live then, the answer is a little diffrent. I mean you still could do that, but you'd have to have a way to plug the xbox into the laptop. Like a second NIC in the laptop. Then you'd have to configure ICS, which could get to be annoying and may cause lag with Live. |

I'm pretty sure linksys have a product that connects to your xbox and wirelessly connects to the router allowing online play via that, I'm looking into getting one for mine - be so much easier than having a cable from my router!

It's been awhile since I've used ICS. It's most likely some sort of prot forwarding issue that is messing it up. It could also be that ICS just isn't compatible with the xbox. I imagine if it can be done someone in an xbox specific forum could help with a little more detail, or there might even be a faq somewheres that MS provides to help with this.
