int he video cards settings it has an option for overclocking. it has both auto and a manual option. when i click auto it gives me a long warning on how it voids my warranty and could seriously hurt my system. ive had no problems with the card but i wouldnt mind it faster. would it be worth it to overclock?

It all depends on you. The performance gains you recieve are pretty much goign to be solely for bragging rights. That card can run any game on the market right now at good speeds and high settings, without over clocking. So it's not like it will effect game play really. Doing it would pretty much just be to increase scores on benchmarks at this point.

I agree. It is a very nice card indeed and you only really need to overclock when your card is older and you want to gain a bit more performance and play games at higher resolution or even just play some newer titles. You know unfortunatelly graphics cards arent exactly cheap so it would be pointless since it does reduce lifespan expectancy. It's a bit like adding a turbo to a car that can already take all the other cars of the road.
