Intel(r) 82810E Graphics Controller problems

I have a pretty old machine, but its been reliable up until recently, when ive experienced a problem with graphics and virtual memory. Now im putting this in the drivers section simply cos thats what i summised it would be a problem with, but basically my PC has the above named graphics device, and recently i have been encountering problems. Games that a matter of months ago the PC would run with no problems, now will not, with such error messages as 'Error: Direct3d driver does not report texture memory usage.' etc. Ive attempted updating the driver, but cant find any newer versions, and as im a complete novice im at a loss. Ive changed no aspect of the software of the machine, and as i said, the games in question ran fine a matter of months ago. Any help would be greatfully received. Thanks..
