ATI Radeon 7500 64MB DDR PCI

Hello all,

Here is my problem, currently I have an S3 Trio64V-2D-DX/GX (775/785) video card install in my PI 233 MHz. I purchased an ATI Radeon 7500 64MB DDR PCI vid card to install in it. For some reason this card will not work. I get no display after installing the ATI card.

It is a PI 233, SiS mother board, 2GB Maxtor hard drive, 96 Mb PC100 SD Ram, AWARD BIOS, chipset 09/03/97 - SiS - 5598 - SMC669 - 2A5IIAB9C-00

If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appriciate it.

try reseating the video card. you may want to try a different slot. if that doesn't work you may want to try taking out all other pci stuff and just try it with your video card by itself.

Tried a different PCI slot, tried both vid cards at the same time, resetting the BIOS, installing the drivers first, nothing worked so far.

 

Ok, now I have gone and really done it. I tried testing the card in another pc (Compaq Presario 7479) it still didn't work, and now I have lost my on-board video on the Compaq to boot. If anyone, and I mean anyone has any ideas what to do with the Compaq (my step-son's PC) Ooops!!! I would greatly appreciate it. He needs his PC and is getting severely upset with me. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
