I am attempting to hook up four computers to the one printer on one of our rooms. They will use a different system to the rest of the school due to a lack of *cough-budget-cough*... printer servers.

And so here lies the problem. The printer in question is a HP Deskjet 1220c. All of the four computers are the same image, and all are hooked up to the school's network. They all run 256mb of RAM, 1100MHz intel processor W2k OS.

The printer is hooked up to the LPT1 port on the host computer. However, for some reason it wont let me share the printer. I open up the properties, click shared as etc, click apply and "could not perform operation, operation did not complete" or words to those effects, all in all, it didn't work.

We use "Novell" to run the school network if anyone is familiar with it.
