quick quick questions, thanx

hi there people, just a couple of quickies
I just got an athlon 2100+ palomino to run on my internet computer (with a asus a7v133-vm mobo (via133 chipset (?) the ad on the auction said

"Partially unlocked for overclocking

i.e. dropped to a lower multiplier to allow bus overclocking

Boots as an 1800
Has run aircooled at 2.0 ghz on my rig"

my basic question is...
can i drop this cpu directly into my mobo without it doing weird stuff?
i would rather run the cpu at a close to normal speed, than have it freak on me
and will this be affecting the pci bus at all? i have quite a nice soundcard to go in and i dont want to kill it

To make sure the speed of the cpu will be correct when you install it I would clear the cmos on the motherboard(A little jumper).That will put all the bios settings back to default and it should recognize your cpu at its stock speed.
You can tweak from there.
