Ram Problem

I have just put in two sticks of 256MB 100MHZ ECC RAM...Now it tells me there is only 128MB in dimm 1 and dimm 2....I had two sticks of 128MB non ecc before and now these have been removed...any idea why it does not show I have 512MB

 

This might be a stupid question, but
Did you try reseating them,
Or swapping slots to see if one is bad, sometimes they are, even new ones

post back, we'll go from there

 

yeah I did that ...it seems to read half a stick on each one?..

 

I bought these thru ebay and was wondering if these were registerd ecc rams would that cause any problems with my motherboard?.

according to the abit website, your motherboard should support ECC RAM...

have you tried a BIOS update? maybe that could solve the problem
