I'm following the advice given in "READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal". I downloaded spywareblastersetup33.exe, exec-ed it to install, but when I attempt to run the application, I get a Windows error: "Error: This program has been damaged, possibly by a bad sector of the hard drive or a virus. Please reinstall it." I re-downloaded and re-installed three or four times, all with the same result.
FWIW, I had the identical problem with a program called "SpyWare Doctor", before finding your forum. The other programs listed above SpyWareBlaster in your article all installed and run cleanly. I'm working on a 7- or 8-year old machine running Windows 98. I appreciate any advice. Thanks. |

Did you already have the previous version installed? If so, uninstall it.
Now boot to safe mode, and try installing the new version while in safe mode. What happens?

chaslang: Thanks for your reply.
I uninstalled SpywareBlaster, rebooted to safe mode, reinstalled, but unfortunately with the same result. Still can't run SpywareBlaster. |

Did you try ending all other programs first as suggested in that link?
