Car audio dudes, I need some help

Opinions on this deck...

Pioneer 6700 MP3 deck. Currently have a Pioneer and have had great luck with it, but it doesn't do mp3's and its pushing 8 years old. Just gonna do a change out of my current deck. Best buy has this unit on sale for 135 bucks.

was also looking at the 7700 but don't think I need all it has. I am never going to do satelite radio, can't see paying 10 a month to listen to the radio, which I rarely do.

Also does anyone know if you have to subscribe to satelite radio for these to work or will it just normally pick up local stations?

 

They have standard AM/FM tuners. The satellite receiver and antenna are extras and plug into a socket on the back of the head unit.

 

satellite radio rules... pop, punk, rock, alt, and they used to have death metal, but they took it off...

 

I can get plenty of heavy stuff on XM.

Atreyu, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Cradle of Filth...

 

Correction it was the 6600 not the 6700. Just a standard deck for 135 so I didn't get it. Still looking but probably wont get anything for a while. I think I'll just burn up these reward certs from Best Buy on a game or something. Maybe World of Warcraft...
