How much space is it wise to leave unused on the Windows XP drive (C: ) in order to function properly? Currently I have a 15 GB partition running Windows. If I were to use 14GB and leave just 1GB free is this wise? What's the minimum that is generally advisable to have?

    My Specs:
    Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo D Notebook
    Intel Celeron 994MHz CPU
    256MB Ram
    Windows XP Pro SP2

    Cheers, Alex :)

Around 3 gb free (for 15g partition) would be fine. The os likes to move files around and create temp files so faster os performence may result by freeing up that extra space. And less fragmentations too.
