Looking for Halo

Hello, Halo I downloaded dbpoweramp and was copying some of my midis to wave, somewhere along the line when I did a test recording the vu slider box came up and instead of it only going to the marks I had checked it went all the way to the end in the red.

I cannot get this cleared, have been working on the forum board with someone and they have not been able to help me find a solution. When this first occured I hear what sounded like a grinding noise in my tower.
All my other sound system is fine my stored midis play fine.

My sound system is "Roland Digital"
