Safe Mode

    how do i go on safe mode so i can go on the internet to the the online virus scans as suggested in the sticky thread.

    I selected Safe mode with networking but it still wont let me connect, there arent any network connections...
    pls help so i can carry on fixing my comp thx

    Are you on dial-up? If so, you cannot get a network connection while in safe mode.

    The READ ME does say, if you cannot run the online scans in safe mode to run them in normal boot mode.

    i strted that online bit virus scan, and the virus update failed...

    Well then it could be that your particular network interface does not operate in safe mode.

    Youmust use IE to do these scans.

    I just noticed you already have a thread opened for your problem. 2 annoyin problems

    Check your active X settings. If it still does not work, move on!
