On W98se, all MS updates/patches, I am unable to open downloaded .zip files. Downloads are saved to folder on desktop and opened (extracted) from there.
Have done so in past with no problem. Now when I click on file to open I get screen message saying "There was a problem with accessibility wizard in opening the specified file" Any ideas? Thanks |

I now believe that the association for opening zip files has been associated with the Accessability Wizard and to that end try this,
Download TweakUI ( for the 9x versions of Windows inc. 98, 98SE, ME ) once installed you will find its icon in Control Panel, open the program and click Repair Tab and in the dropdown menu pick Repair Associations and click Repair Now Just in Case anyone want so see other steps followed in this topic http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=73555
