Gutting my moniter

    Alright, here goes:
I have a sony CPD-15F13 moniter (broken, obviously)
Recently, several of the pins broke off, so I decided to cut the cord and
replace it with a "VGA/SVGA Moniter Extension Cable" (Belkin).
When I stripped the two different cords, the VGA/SVGA had almost 15 wires,
    while my moniter has almost....4.
As if that wasn't enough, the 4 wires on my moniter vastly oversive the 15
on my extension cable. Can you send me schematics or something of the sort
to see which ones I pair up w/ which?
I know that messing w/ moniters is stupid and dangerous, but I really don't have the money to buy a new moniter.
    Thanks in advance!
