Splitter for RoadRunner, Need help...Please

I had my RR in another room and the cable wire there had been physically split between the cable TV and RR. Now I have to move my PC to another room and there is one cable wire alone. I was going to get a splitter and connect both but what kind, and what watt or amp? Are gold one's really any better than sliver splitters? Oh, lastly, would i get the one that says catv since I have Time wArner or not, I have a digital box in the living room but not on this cable I will connect the internet to.
