Default Wireless networking for a novice

I have a desktop running windows XP and a laptop with a wireless card running windows xp. I have a wireless router and both desktop and laptop can connect to the internet using the router. Now, I want to be able to network my laptop and desktop so they can share files and also the desktop connected printer so I can use that printer for my laptop. How do I set the 2 computers so they can share files, etc. Thank you! Novice David

Hi
The content of the following links will provide you with a basic tutorial about Sharing Interent and using Wireless; it is short and to the point
:
The three first pages were written ages ago. You might ignore the prices, and the specific choice of hardware, stick with the principles they are still the same.

Basic Options for Internet Connection Sharing - http://www.anandtech.com/guides/viewfaq.html?i=105

Hubs, routers, switches, DSL, LANs, WANs...? - http://www.anandtech.com/guides/viewfaq.html?i=48

Wireless Principles - http://www.anandtech.com/guides/viewfaq.html?i=122

The whole thing should look like this: http://www.ezlan.net/network/router.jpg

TYhanks for these sites-one of the links shows how to configure the desktop but that refers only wo Win98 or Win ME. I have XP and have no clue how to configure the desktop (which is wired to the cable modem) and the laptopn (which has a wireless card) and also how to share programs. Thanks
