Default refresh rate ?

i have a Sony 19" LCD SDM-S93 with the drivers installed. how do i know what this monitor can support without damaging it?

To knows that click the right button on the screen click properties
goto setting then advanced then monitor you should see what you monitor support in screen refresh rate....

Appears to be 1280x1024 is that what you are looking for

And what Operating system are you using 98 2000 xp ect.....

Refresh rates don't do anything on LCDs. They only apply to CRT monitors. Just leave it at whatever it is. (probably 60Hz)

They are just a legacy option leftover from CRTs. In a CRT monitor the electron beam moves from side to side and top to bottom to draw the screen. (at 60 times per second if the refresh rate is 60Hz) LCDs don't have this.
