It Seems As If Everything On My PC Is Disappearing!

First of all the Device Manager disappeared (sorted that now), then the 'add to now playing list' option in WMP disappeared (sorted that now), then Wordpad disappeared (still not sorted) and now calculator has disappeared.

What is going on? I really hope nothing else gets deleted. I don't know what else to say other than I could really use a hand here.

To be honest I would advise running through all of this, then post in the Malware forum the results of what you find, plus the requested logs.

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.


After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:
