Karl Gauss
Have you heard the name? ....he was a math wiz..
When he was in elementary school. His teacher got mad at the class and told them to add the numbers 1 to 100 and give him the answer by the end of the class. About 30 seconds later Gauss gave him the answer. can anybody do it? (and yes i know the answer)

If it was Gauss, he multiplied 101 by 50 which gave him 5050.
A maths genius wouldn't waste his time adding up all those numbers. He would work out a shortcut and use that.

Hey, no need to swear at me!
 I'm far from being a maths genius (yes, here in Aus we say maths and not math), or a genius at anything. Just plenty of maths detention.
