You'll have to forgive me if I get my terminology wrong...

I've just bought an Asus A8N-E mobo (n-force 4 chipset) for my home build and although I have heard good things about the board on the whole I hear the chipset fan is noisy.

Is it a good idea to take off the chipset fan and replace it with something like the Zalman Silent Motherboard Heatsink ZM-NB47J ?

I've thought of a couple of questions -

Anyone here done this sort of swap, if so, how easy, what should I look out for?
Is there a temperature sensor for the mobo chipset?
Could I OC the board if I do this?

    Thanks for the info.

    Al
