Posting this (Frames Per Second) Question here because I thought more OCers
will know the answer. I have a PNY Verto 5900 I get about 100 to 120 FPS
in any non doom3 game. Lets say im in SoF2 server. and Im getting 30 or 40
FPS. but when I got to my HUD "out of the game. I get my 120 FPS back.
Some servers I can get a higher FPS on then others. Whats up with this?
VID Card going out on me? Server problem? I have good pings, but lags like hell
from the 30 FPS giving me hardcore choppyness. Im using fraps to test my FPS.
I have Vsink off and all that good stuff. Just dont know why this is happening.
Anyone have an answer? Thanks in advance.

well, the 5900 isn't the most powerful video card ever, what are your full specs? I think the servers ping can play a role in fps, and 120fps sounds like a lot for a 5900, are you running at 640x480 or something? lol.

Yeah if I run it at 1024 X 768 I can usualy hit about 90 FPS.
But your right. 640 X 480 is my normal rez. The card runs at
400 Mhz core, and 850 Mhz memory speed. 22.5 Gig bites per sec.
Same speed as a 5900 Ultra without the 256 megs of ram. only 128.

I was thinking that the server I was connecting to was like a P3
or thunder bird AMD server or something even slower. Some servers
I run just fine. others are like running in mud or cold tar.

omg, lol are you serious, 640x480 is horrible, you should upgrade to a 6800ultra, what kind of monitor do you have?
