I just reinstalled Windows on my PC and after reinstalling and restarting, it wont boot. It starts going through post and detecting devices in the system, but stops after allocating IRQs on the ACPI controller line and a flashing cursor is displayed under the ACPI controller line (no data for the controller comes up like previous IRQs).

I cannot even get as far rebooting from my XP disc. I removed ALL my PCI devices except for my video card (pci-e) and get the same thing.

    Also tried:

    Resetting CMOS
    Reseating memory
    Reseating video card

I'm sure you smart ppl know the answer!

Sounds like you aren't finishing POST.

    Are you overclocking?

Can you boot to a floppy?

Not overclocking...haven't tried booting from a floppy. Right now, I can't boot from anything. I don't even get to boot order. I tried booting from ym XP cd, and it didn't work. If that isn't working, I doubt a floppy would.
