It has recently come to my attention that my old Toshiba Satellite Pro 440CDX, that when it is on, gets very hot underneath. Now only every 2 hours or so my fan turns on, stays on for about half an hour and turns off. But, the system does nto cool down.
So i am wondering how I can change my Laptop to keep its fan on all the time that the laptop is on? And not just every 2 hours.

You could try to set the Power Managment settings to Home/Office Desktop or Alwasy On and that should keep the fan running alwasy but may drain power quicker using this setting, but try it out and see.
