help avira antivir troubles

its me again and i have another problem this time its with my dads little dell laptop computer

i thought i removed antivir 6 but when i tried removing it from add/remove programs it stopped responding

so i removed the folder from c program files but av gaurd refused to be removed so when i finally got that removed using hijack this i thought i was in the clear

i went to search and searched for antivir and i removed everything it found

then i downloaded 7 from the website when i tried installing 7 it tld me parts of 6 are still on there somewhere and to manually remove it

but i dont know how so i came here and got avira removal tool im hoping that will work

its suppost to remove avira right at least i hope it does
